Welcome and thank you for visiting Heart to Heart Healthcare Training! We thought we would start our first blog post by telling you a little bit about us. We opened in May of 2016 in Ypsilanti, MI as a Certified Nurse Assistant program and CPR/AED/FIRST AID training. We are approved through the State of Michigan to provide a Certified Nurse Assistant course. Our Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) class has two options a day class and a night class. The day class runs Monday through Friday from 9am – 5pm, while the night class runs Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 10pm. This class consists of lecture, lab and clinical experiences.
Here at Heart to Heart Healthcare Training we have small class sizes, so we can provide individualized personal attention for each student. We focus on hands-on training so that students feel comfortable and confident in their skills. Our clinical setting allows for students to get real world practice working with patients/residents in a local nursing home.
We’ve received some great feedback from students who have been very pleased with our class. What’s great about our school and what makes us different than others, is that when the class ends our help doesn’t. Once you graduate our staff can help you with resume building, and job placement. We also offer a refresher course, where students can come back to the class and practice for the State exam.
After completing our class students will be eligible to take the State of Michigan Certified Nurse Assistant Competency Exam. The exam is run through Prometric, and costs $125. Once the student passes the State exam, they will officially be Certified in the State of Michigan as a Nurse Assistant. The website for Prometric is www.prometric.com/nurseaide/mi, and includes practice tests, and resources for students for the State exam.
Currently, we have a very high pass rating for the State exam on the first try. Our students state that they felt comfortable and confident when taking the State exam and they feel prepared. Our goal is to help students be as successful as possible not only in their Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) career’s but also in life. We build personal relationships with our students and truly care about their success.
